GREY MONJITA Xolmis cinereus
With his staring red eye and bold head markings, the Grey Monjita has a fierce glare that strikes fear into passing invertebrates! This species is more terrestrial than other monjitas, frequently descending to the ground and chasing after prey. Though the name Grey Monjita suggests a relatively boring bird, this species is actually stunningly-marked - check out that black-and-white wing pattern when he takes flight!
