CHACO BURROWING SNAKE Phalotris normanscotti CHACO
Named for the our esteemed friend Norman Scott by two of our other esteemed friends Hugo Cabral and Pier Cacciali, this newly described species is the latest addition to the Paraguayan herpetofauna. The Phalotris are a complex group about which we probably know rather less than we think we do, but this species can be identified by the black tram lines that run down the side of its body.
