PICAZURO PIGEON Patagioenas picazuro
One of the largest Paraguayan pigeons, the Picazuro is surprisingly shy given the confiding nature of many of his close relatives. A vocal bird, his typical song sounds like "Who cooks you?" a profound, if slightly nonsensical statement! He can be instantly recognised in flight by the broad white band across his wing.
