FLAVESCENT COLILARGO Oligoryzomys flavescens
A common mouse in much of eastern Paraguay, this species is associated with a wide variety of habitats, though typically it is more common in drier, more open areas. Like all Oligoryzomys the tail is long and slender, being clearly longer than the head and body. Note that in this species the rufous-orange pelage is strongly demarcated from the white ventral pelage, clearly visible when the animal is viewed from the side.
