GULL-BILLED TERN Gelochelidon nilotica
There are just three Paraguayan records of this rare vagrant tern, all from Presidente Hayes department. The latest from the central Chaco, by Arne Lesterhuis, is the first one to capture identifiable images of the bird. This species was listed as requiring documentation in the 2004 Checklist, so here it is!
