PANTANAL THREADSNAKE Epictia vellardi
Worm-like and completely inoffensive, this small blind snake is incapable of biting humans and can be handled without worry. It is generally subterranean in behaviour, having a particular fondness for termites, but may come to the surface in search of new food sources - as a result it is equally likely to be encountered during the day or night.
