HIGHLAND (SPECTACLED) ELAENIA Elaenia obscura sordida
A split just waiting to happen, this large, dark, almost crestless Atlantic Forest Elaenia is an unobtrusive inhabitant of the forest midstorey. Not overly vocal, nor overly conspicuous and certainly not overly colourful, it is at least distinctive amongst this confusing genus of flycatchers.
