MARACAJU CERRADOMYS Cerradomys maracajuensis
A large rat with tail marginally longer than the head and body. This species is typical of cerrado areas. It can be distinguished from the other member of the genus in Paraguay C.scotti by the fact that the head is concolorous with the dorsum, not ashy-grey. The legs are long.
