BLUE-WINGED TEAL Anas discors
A well known bird to North Americans, this charming little duck is a rare vagrant to Paraguay, with the Chaco the place were most previous sight records have been reported from. In fact this fantastic photo below by Oscar Bordón from August 2016 represents the first documentation of the species in the country - all previous reports being sight records lacking details.
