WHITE-CHEEKED PINTAIL Anas bahamensis
Despite its scientific name (and avicultural name Bahama Pintail)  this species is not restricted to the Bahamas, but has a wide distribution through South America It is a handsome duck and one of the commonest species in the Chaco where it is present all year round, though nomadic in search of water. They feed by upending, their pointed tail pointing skyward.
