Hyles (SPHINGIDAE: MACROGLOSSINAE: MACROGLOSSINI)
Small, probably migrant hawkmoths mainly associated with the Chaco region. Two similar species with olive-brown forewings marked with a conspicuous and contrasting pale diagonal band.

Key to species:
1a Several thin pale transverse lines crossing the forewing. -
Hyles lineata (Fabricius 1775)
1b No thin pale transverse lines crossing the forewing. -
Hyles euphorbiarum (Guérin-Méneville & Percheron 1835)
