CHILEAN SWALLOW Tachycineta meyeni
A winter visitor that breeds in Chile and Patagonia, the Chilean Swallow is one of several small bluish swallows that occur in Paraguay. It is particularly similar to the common White-rumped Swallow, but is distinguished by slight plumage differences eg colour of the underwing, presence or absence of a loral stripe etc.
