BROWN LEAF LIZARD Stenocercus caducus
This little brown lizard inhabits the undergrowth of humid forest. His dull brown colouration offers perfect camouflage against the dead leaves, especially when he stands perfectly still - his defence posture. The first indication of his presence is the noise of him scuttling away to safety over the leaf litter, by which time you will have missed your opportunity to see him!
