DWARF SNOUTED TREE-FROG Scinax berthae
A tiny Scinax, never more than 2cm long, this species is characterised by its pointed snout and eye-catching yellow-orange spots on the groin, thighs and knees. As with other tree-frogs he is capable of some quite impressive changes of colour, but note that typically there are two dark longitudinal lineas along each side of the body. Difficult to detect because its scratchy call is easily written off as an insect, try looking for him on sprouts of vegetation within shallow water or under large stones or logs.
