BLACK-FACED TANAGER Schistochlamys melanopis
A handsome blue-grey tanager of open areas with a striking black face, this species is known only from a handful of records in Paraguay. Data from Brazil suggests the species is in expansion and so the trickle of records in Paraguay may be the first waves of an invasion force as the species attempts to colonise northern Paraguay.
