TAWNY-BROWED OWL Pulsatrix koeniswaldiana ATLANTIC FOREST
Deep in the Atlantic Forests of eastern Paraguay lurks this monster owl. He is not seen very often, he is a rare bird and his dark plumage gives him perfect camouflage against the night sky. Listen out for his bizarre call, a weirdly wobbly noise that sounds like vibrating a piece of aluminium, and if you track him down make sure you enjoy every second of your encounter with this impressive bird.
