BROWN-CHESTED MARTIN Progne tapera
Along with the Grey-breasted Martin, this is the other common urban martin. Despite their size martins have a rather weak flight technique, with much swooping. Brown-chested tends to fly quite low, scooping up insects with the open bill in the manner typical of its family. He is a migrant species, arriving in September from wintering grounds further north, though every year a few individuals (possibly first year birds) pass the winter in Paraguay.
