WHITE-TAILED GOLDENTHROAT Polytmus guainumbi
A distinctive hummingbird of open grassy areas near water, the White-tailed Goldenthroat is widespread but uncommon in Paraguay. The species is easily confused with certain other female hummingbirds but note his slightly downcurved bill and green tail with extensive white tips to the feathers!
