OCHRE-FACED TODY-FLYCATCHER Poecilotriccus plumbeiceps
That slightly flatulent noise coming from within the dense stand of Chusquea bamboo is produced by this tiny flycatcher. You can spend ages trying to get a good look at him in there, but you´re never likely to get more than a brief glimpse - which is a shame because he is a pretty little bird! Fortunately he responds well to psshing (one of the few Paraguayan birds that does!) and before long he´ll come to you. You´ll still need an element of luck to see him well, but at least its a start!
