RUSTY-FRONTED TODY-FLYCATCHER Poecilotriccus latirostris
Just like its more common and widespread relative the Ochre-faced Tody-Flycatcher, this species is incredibly difficult to observe, keeping to dense vegetation and betraying its presence only with its call. Confined to the Paraguayan Pantanal and northern Chaco, there are very few records of the species in the country. The individual in (FPAVE1745PH) photographed by Juan Klavins, confirmed the presence of this bird here, it had previously only been known by sight records, also by Juan Klavins.
