WHITE-LINED BROAD-NOSED BAT Platyrrhinus lineatus
One of the few boldly-marked bats in Paraguay, this species can be easily identified by the white longitudinal line along its dorsal surface and the bold head stripes. A frugivorous bat, it feeds mainly on fruits, flowers and even leaves, chewing them into a pulp, consuming the liquid and allowing the fibrous residue to drop to the floor.
