GRACILE DWARF FROG Physalaemus gracilis
Though long claimed for Paraguay the images of the specimen taken below by Flavia Netto as part of the FAUNA Paraguay and PROCOSARA supported ECOSARA project represent the first confirmation of the species in the country. Note the very dark underside with the pale central stripe and the presence of a yellow and a red patch on the groin.
