RUFOUS-FRONTED THORNBIRD Phacellodomus rufifrons
The other common name of this species is Common Thornbird (pardon the pun!) but it doesnīt seem so relevant in Paraguay where in fact it is the least often encountered of the regularly occurring thronbird species in the country. That is not to say the species is rare, it isnīt, it just tends to be most common in areas where people tend not to go too often, such as the marshes of the Bajo Chaco and Pantanal.
