RUSTY-MARGINED GUAN Penelope superciliaris
The most frequently-encountered of the humid forest Cracids, the Rusty-margined Guan is, despite his size, easy to overlook. It is a sociable bird occurring in small flocks, usually at medium heights in the forest canopy and only rarely dropping to the ground. Disturb a flock and you may be startled yourself by the loud dog-like barking calls they produce as they make their escape!
