HOUSE SPARROW Passer domesticus
Familiar, bolshy urban sparrow, a gregarious and argumentative inhabitant of town gardens and plazas. Is there a birdwatcher on earth who isn´t familiar with this species? Nobody is really sure when the House Sparrow arrived in Paraguay, but it seems likely that our birds are descended from a group of birds introduced into Buenos Aires at the end of the 19th Century!
