LESSER SEEDFINCH Oryzoborus angolensis
Once abundant, his reputation as the finest singer of the South American Emberizids has cost him dear. Incessant trapping for the pet trade has led to an alarming decline in numbers of this charming little bird, and sadly the sound of his sweet song ringing out across the countryside is much less common than it once was.
