BLACK MASTIFF Molossus rufus
The largest member of the Molossus bats in Paraguay with extremely variable pelage - individuals may range from red, through brown to black. It is a common species, frequently associated with human dwellings and is one of the commonest bat species caught in nets in some areas. Formerly known as Molossus ater.
