COLLARED CRESCENTCHEST Melanopareia torquata
The cerrado crescentchest is a handsome little devil that inhabits dwarf palm grassland and betrays his presence only with his quiet peeping call. The range is highly restricted in Paraguay, with the majority of the known population at Aguara Ñu, in the Mbaracayú Biosphere Reserve. He may take a bit of effort to see, but we think you´ll agree he is well worth the time.
