LEMA´S LIOPHIS Liophis dilepis
Like other species of Liophis this species is a fast-moving, ground-dwelling snake. It is a handsome species with yellow underparts and black longitudinal lines, and a slim, small structure that makes him difficult to see as he zips through the grass. In patternation it resembles both Liophis flavifrenatus and Liophis meridionalis which both occur in Paraguay but this species lacks black markings on the underside and lower sides of the body.
