BIBLIDINIAE - TRIBE LIMENITIDINI - SISTERS
An ill-defined group which has at very times acted as a dumping ground for genera of uncertain affinities. They are Nymphalid butterflies, which means that the forelegs are reduced so that appear to have only four legs. There are about 800 species worldwide. Note that certain species of Doxocopa closely resemble Adelphas, but have a green proboscis! Concentrate on the underwing pattern of Adelphas, the upperwings are often only subtly different!
