GREY-HEADED KITE Leptodon cayanensis
Subtly patterned in black, grey and white, the Grey-headed Kite is a real looker. Shame then that he is so retiring, hiding away in the forest sub-canopy where you´ll need a healthy dose of luck to see him. You´re far more likely to glimpse him in the air when his black underwing contrast with his white belly and banded black-and-white flight feathers to give a distinctive pattern.
