SOUTHERN YELLOW BAT Dasypterus ega
A large Vespertilionid, this species is fairly common in the Chaco. Formerly classified in the genus Lasiurus it is easily recognised on account of its pale yellowish-white pelage. This bat can be recognised instantly amongst members of their family by their large size and the fact that the upper side of the tail membrane is furred for most or part of its extension.
