CINEREOUS TYRANT Knipolegus striaticeps CHACO
Up in the High Chaco lives this little flycatcher. The sooty-grey male looks like a little chimney sweep, his plumage offset by a bright blue bill and dramatic red eye. For some reason females are much easier to see, despite their drab brownish plumage. Perhaps because females tend to forage low down whilst males prefer the tops of the Chaco trees.
