ROCK STRAIGHT-TOED GECKO Homonota rupicola
Confined to Cerro Pedregal, a rocky outcrop at the boundary of departamentos Cordillera and Paraguarí, this is a recently described endemic species of gecko. The only native ground-dwelling gecko known to occur in the Oriental region of Paraguay, it is a small species with a clearly highly restricted range.
