PEARLY-VENTED TODY-TYRANT Hemitriccus margaritaceiventer
Wherever you travel in Paraguay you are likely to come across this adaptable little character. With his erectile head feathers making him look like a real big-head when he gets annoyed, and his bright yellow eye casting a wicked stare, you can be grateful that he is barely longer than your thumb! He may be found anywhere from scrub to Chaco woodland and even cerrado, absent only from the humid forest.
