GREATER GRISON Galictis vittata
Imagine our surprise during a FAUNA Paraguay tour when we encountered this specimen of a 60cm long mammal dead on the road. Of course roadkill is nothing unusual on the rutas, but finding this species in particular was remarkable as it was the first record of the species in Paraguay found in an area with one of the largest human populations and most heavily altered landscapes in the country!
