LESSER GRISON Galictis cuja
This little predator is somewhere between a weasel and a skunk! With his short legs and elongated body, the Lesser Grison is adapted to hunting on the ground where he takes a variety of invertebrates and small vertebrates - being quick enough to hunt down small mammals and skinny enough even to follow them into their hiding places. This is a widespread and adaptable species, able to tolerate a certain amount of human presence. They are however difficult to observe, and most people´s encounters with them involve a sighting of a quick flash of grey and black zooming across a road or trail.
