TAWNY-CROWNED PYGMY-TYRANT Euscarthmus meloryphus
If ever a bird could be accused of having "small-man syndrome" then this argumentative little character would be a prime candidate. He has neither looks, nor size to back him up, so to cover his own insecurity passes the time gesturing and complaining at everything that passes by. He´s not usually brave enough to show himself though, preferring to posture from a concealed perch in the thick scrubby areas that he calls home.
