PURPLE-THROATED EUPHONIA Euphonia chlorotica
The handsome male, dressed in steely-blue and golden-yellow is one of the most beautiful of urban birds. Habitat generalists, they occur almost anywhere, joining other euphonias in humid forest mixed species flocks, skipping through the crowns of tall trees and plucking fruit with their short, stubby bill.
