LESSER ELAENIA Elaenia chiriquensis
One of the more distinctive of the dreaded Elaenias on account of its small size. In Paraguay its identification is further aided by the fact that it has a clear association with cerrado habitat - though oddly that isnīt the case elsewhere in its range. The Lesser Elaenia is a summer visitor to Paraguay where it breeds.
