BICOLOURED OVAL FROG Elachistocleis bicolor
This little frog is as distinctive as he is weird-looking! Its a relatively common species, though its nocturnal unobtrusive habitats mean that it is uncommonly encountered. It lives in seasonally-flooded grasslands and amongst the leaf litter of humid forest where it feeds mainly on termites. Eggs are laid in small pools and float on top of the water.
