PLAIN ANTVIREO Dysithamnus mentalis
Big-headed and fat, the little Plain Antvireo is a curious bird and generally the most numerous of the antbirds in humid forests of eastern Paraguay. Like most members of the antbird family he is retiring and unobtrusive, but unlike the others he often lets his curiosity get the better of him. Even the crudest whisled imitation of his call will bring him towards the observer, all the while producing his quiet nasal calls.
