INDIGO SNAKE Drymarchon corais
A large, robust and variable snake varying in colour with dark brown, through yellowish to a dark bluish-purple. This is a non-venomous species, but that is not to say that it isnt aggressive, being capable of inflicting a painful bite to attackers. Its preferred defence however is to flee, being equally agile and rapid on land, water or in the trees.
