WHITE-WINGED VAMPIRE BAT Diaemus youngii
Currently known only from the Chaco, but apparently expanding its range, this cousin of the Vampire can be distinguished by the white patches on the wings tips and shorter pollex. Like other rmembers of the subfamily it is a blood feeder, though it is far more likely to feast on the chickens than the farmer.
