BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK Dendrocygna autumnalis
Arguably the most attractive of the aptly-named Whistling-Ducks, this species is somewhat crepuscular in behaviour, preferring to spend most of the day loafing around and emerging at dusk to feed. It has a wide range from the USA down to Argentina and is the only member of its genus with a red bill - hence its other common name "Red-billed Whistling-Duck".
