RUFOUS-BROWED PEPPERSHRIKE Cyclarhis gujanensis
A bird that never tires of the sound of his own voice, the Peppershrike melodic, but monotonous phrases ring out minute after minute, hour after hour throughout the year wherever the species is present. However for such a handsome and common bird he is surprisingly difficult to observe, skulking sluggishly in dense vegetation where his plumage provides him with excellent camouflage. An adaptable bird, the Peppershrike is found throughout the country from the driest areas of the Chaco, to the wettest humid forests and even in urban areas.
