STRIPE-CROWNED SPINETAIL Cranioleuca pyrrhophia
A hyperactive Chaco acrobat prone to sprinting squirrel-like through the low canopy of the Chaco woodland, inspecting crevices along the way, even if it means hanging upside-down to do so! Though he shares the same common name in English as the Synallaxis spinetails, the similarity begins and ends there. Behaviourally he is much less retiring, in fact his inquisitive character is more likely to remind you of a Philydor Foliage-gleaner.
