CRAMBIDAE - CRAMBID SNOUT MOTHS
Formerly treated as a subfamily of the Pyralidae, the Crambids are a group of small moths with triangular wings and pointed labial palps giving rise to what appears to be a pointed "snout". Females release pheromones from the tip of the abdomen, posing with wings spread and everting a feather-like structure and waving the upturned abdomen slowly side to side.
