COSCOROBA Coscoroba coscoroba
He´s not a swan, nor a goose, and he definitely isn´t a big white duck. In fact I am not really sure what a Coscoroba is, other than that, a Coscoroba - one of a kind. These snow-white waterfowl are seen with most regularity on the saline lagoons of the Central Chaco, and to see them swimming in and out of the immense flocks of foraging flamingos really is a sight to behold. His name comes from his call, a throaty COS-CO-ROW-ROW, though it is unclear where the last Ba comes from! But lets face it Coscoroba is a much more sensible name than Coscorowrow isn´t it!?
