GREY-HEADED GULL Chroicocephalus cirrocephalus
This is a rare gull in Paraguay - stating the obvious given that all gulls are rare in Paraguay! It is easy enough to recognise given its pale greyish head, and is generally the most likely gull species to turn up anywhere along the major river systems. Common in the Southern Cone, this species has an unusual global distribution, also being found in the Horn of Africa
